Within a month, the Indian Army plans to place procurement orders exceeding $1 billion for Pinaka MBRL ammunition. These orders are set to be confirmed before the fiscal year ends on March 31. The purchase will cover two categories: high-explosive pre-fragmented ammunition costing 57 billion Indian rupees (about $660 million) and area denial ammunition valued at 45 billion rupees (roughly $520 million).
