General Cherry is strengthening Ukraine’s counter-drone defenses with AIR SPEED, a lightweight interceptor engineered for high speed, agility, and precision engagements.
With a top speed of 236 km/h (147 mph), AIR SPEED is capable of overtaking many fast, low-flying aerial threats. Its compact 8-inch (20.3-cm) airframe enhances maneuverability and responsiveness during high-speed interceptions.
The system is designed to counter a broad spectrum of targets, including one-way attack drones, commercial quadcopters, and tactical reconnaissance UAVs.
It can also engage fixed-wing surveillance platforms such as ZALA, Supercam, Eagles, and Lancet-type loitering munitions.
Already fielded across multiple frontlines, AIR SPEED has reportedly demonstrated effectiveness against both reconnaissance and strike drones.
The interceptor complements General Cherry’s existing counter-UAS portfolio, which includes the BULLET system for defeating Shahed-type drones and the AIR Pro variant featuring a 10-inch (25-cm) frame.
General Cherry confirmed that AIR SPEED is now available through the Brave1 platform, Ukraine’s centralized defense technology procurement hub.
