Indian media reports indicate that Indonesia has taken initial steps toward purchasing BrahMos cruise missiles from India. According to The New Indian Express, the Indian embassy in Jakarta has been formally approached by Indonesia’s Ministry of Defense concerning the prospective $450 million acquisition. The deal is expected to be supported by a loan arrangement being negotiated with Indian financial institutions.
