The Italian Ministry of Defense has contracted the Iveco-Oto Melara Consortium (CIO) to deliver 76 Medium Armored Combat Vehicles (VBM) for the army’s Second Medium Brigade. This procurement comprises 60 combat-configured units and 16 anti-tank carrier variants of the VBM Plus 8×8 vehicle. Additionally, the contract provides for integrated logistics support and an undisclosed quantity of 10×10 rescue and recovery vehicles to support the operational effectiveness of the VBM fleet.
