The Pentagon’s Defense Innovation Unit has selected L3Harris to develop a prototype command-and-control (C2) system capable of simultaneously managing multiple autonomous platforms. As part of the project, L3Harris will deliver a user interface and act as the systems integrator for the autonomy architecture. The prototype will also include a collaborative autonomy feature, allowing the US military to coordinate uncrewed aerial, land, and maritime systems in unison. This capability is being evaluated through an open architecture framework designed for rapid adaptation to evolving mission needs.
