The Lithuanian Defence Materiel Agency has finalized a contract with KNDS Deutschland for the delivery of 44 LEOPARD 2 A8 tanks to the Lithuanian Army. Marking a historic milestone, Lithuania will establish its first-ever armored unit and become the 23rd nation to operate LEOPARD 2 tanks. Valued at EUR 950 million, the contract also encompasses an extensive spare parts and logistics support package alongside the main battle tanks.
