Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace has proposed arming the Indian Navy’s MH-60R Seahawk helicopters with the advanced Naval Strike Missile (NSM), in a strategic effort to boost maritime strike capabilities. With nine Seahawks in service and 15 more arriving by late 2025, this upgrade would significantly expand the Navy’s capacity to engage surface and coastal targets over extended distances.
