The U.S. Army has awarded contracts exceeding $15.3 million to Alabama-based Performance Drone Works (PDW) for the procurement of its C100 small unmanned aerial systems (sUAS). PDW asserts that the drones will enhance the Army’s presence in key operational zones, with deployments primarily focused on Central Command, Europe, and the Indo-Pacific. These advanced sUAS are projected to provide tactical aerial support and medium-range surveillance capabilities on the battlefield.
