
In a move to enhance its military capabilities, Lithuania has signed contracts with U.S. firms for the procurement of manpack radios and small drones. The agreements include $7.8 million for AeroVironment’s Switchblade 600 systems and about $25 million for L3Harris manpack radios. With these purchases, around 20 percent of Vilnius’ mid-term defense procurement—estimated at $1.3 billion—now comes from the United States.
