The U.S. Army has officially received the MK 4.8 Hybrid Quad (HQ) Aerosonde drone from Textron Systems for use in the Future Tactical Uncrewed Aircraft Systems initiative. The delivery was completed via the DoD’s DD-250 process, signaling the system’s official acceptance. Following the transfer, the FTUAS team will carry out training sessions at Redstone Test Center to qualify instructors and operators, with certification expected to conclude by late January.
