At its Seattle facility, Boeing has rolled out Germany’s first P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, part of an eight-unit order. Delivery is slated for August 2025, stemming from Germany’s original order of five aircraft in 2021, later expanded by three more in 2023. The P-8A is set to succeed the aging P-3C Orion fleet built by Lockheed Martin, which is due to retire this year, enhancing Germany’s maritime surveillance and anti-submarine capabilities.
