Under a five-year agreement with the Norwegian Armed Forces, Kongsberg has successfully deployed the ARVAKER I microsatellite to bolster maritime surveillance efforts. The satellite was launched aboard SpaceX’s Transporter-13 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California and promptly connected with Kongsberg NanoAvionics’ mission control center. ARVAKER I is designed to enhance maritime security by detecting and tracking unlawful activities such as illegal fishing, smuggling, and environmental violations.
