Exail of France and Spain’s Grafinta have been selected to supply the UmiX-40 Inertial Measurement Unit for the Airbus SIRTAP tactical drone. The compact UmiX-40 enhances navigational precision and stabilization, particularly in GPS-denied environments, thanks to its fiber-optic gyroscopes and vibrating beam accelerometers. The system boasts high bandwidth, low noise, and real-time 3D rotation data. Designed for space-limited drones like SIRTAP, its plug-and-play integration ensures seamless operation, supporting long-range ISR missions with accurate performance from launch through recovery—even in challenging scenarios.
