Hanwha Systems has landed a $39.7 million (54.7-billion-won) contract to develop advanced radar tech for South Korea’s L-SAM II missile defense program.
The prototype multi-function radar aims to improve threat detection, deliver real-time tracking, and boost interception accuracy.
Expected to outperform the current L-SAM radar in range, it will support South Korea’s efforts to strengthen upper-tier missile defenses.
