GA-ASI has been awarded a $99.3-million contract to develop advanced drones for the US military’s intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance, and strike needs. Central to the classified GHOST program is a hybrid-electric ducted fan propulsion system, expected to deliver prolonged flight duration and near-silent performance for operations in contested zones. Development will take place in Poway, California, with the project scheduled for completion by August 2028.
