Britain will spend more than £1 billion ($1.3 billion) to establish a cutting-edge cyber warfare command and an AI-powered targeting network designed to accelerate its military’s digital transformation. The newly formed Cyber and Electromagnetic Command will lead offensive cyber operations, disrupt adversarial communications, conduct influence campaigns, and support battlefield missions. It will also enhance the UK’s cybersecurity posture, protecting critical defense networks from rising cyberattacks—over 90,000 in two years—mainly linked to hostile actors such as China and Russia.
