Curtiss-Wright Defense Solutions has announced a $7.7 million contract award from Tyonek Aircraft Overhaul, LLC—a subsidiary of Tyonek Services Group, Inc. and Tyonek Native Corporation. The company will supply its Fortress™ combined cockpit voice and flight data recorder (CVR/FDR) with MIL-STD-1553 data communications capability for the U.S. Coast Guard’s MH-65E Dolphin and MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter fleets. The contract is structured with a one-year base period and a four-year optional extension.
Purpose-built for military rotorcraft and fixed-wing platforms, the Fortress recorder’s modular design allows for future data acquisition upgrades, solidifying Curtiss-Wright’s reputation as a premier supplier of next-generation flight data recorders.
