Lockheed Martin and Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the 2025 Paris Air Show to significantly broaden their existing partnership. This expanded collaboration will now focus on rotorcraft production, next-generation aircraft platforms, space initiatives, crewed-uncrewed teaming, UAV systems, training devices, and sustainment solutions.

The MoU, signed by Frank St. John, Chief Operating Officer of Lockheed Martin, and Goo-young Kang, President & CEO of KAI, builds on over 30 years of cooperation, which started with F-16 licensed production and grew to include the T-50 supersonic trainer, FA-50 light attack jet, KF-21 fighter development, and logistics support.

The two companies are already working together to identify further opportunities, particularly through the T-50 and FA-50 export programs, including their joint involvement in the U.S. Navy Undergraduate Jet Training System.
