AeroVironment (AV) has partnered with OpenJAUS to advance the interoperability of autonomous and remote systems, focusing on streamlined field operations and simplified software connectivity.
Through this collaboration, the OpenJAUS toolkit is being embedded into AV’s AV_Halo Command software, enabling full compatibility with the JAUS communication protocol.
The JAUS standard, developed under the US Department of Defense, allows diverse unmanned systems to share commands and data across multiple platforms.
With OpenJAUS integration, AV_Halo Command will now support a broader spectrum of autonomous air, ground, and maritime vehicles within a single control environment.
The upgrade will enable faster onboarding of new systems and payloads, reducing dependency on vendor-specific interfaces and improving mission flexibility.
