Saab of Sweden has entered into a cooperation agreement with Joint Stock Company Ukrainian Defense Industry (JS UDI) focused on aviation and airborne surveillance capabilities.

Announced at an international security gathering in Munich, the partnership will cover aircraft, radar technologies, avionics, and surveillance systems aimed at enhancing Kyiv’s military effectiveness. The accord was signed by Anders Carp of Saab and Herman Smetanin of JS UDI.

JS UDI oversees more than 130 defense-related enterprises under Ukrainian state direction and is counted among the top 50 global arms manufacturers. Saab is widely known for its Gripen fighter aircraft and Carl-Gustaf weapon system, among other defense solutions.
