Altechna, a Lithuanian photonics company, will participate in the TALOS-TWO project to develop a 100-kilowatt laser weapon—the first of its kind fully developed in Europe. The €25 million ($27 million) European Defence Fund-supported effort seeks to equip defense platforms across domains with cutting-edge directed-energy capabilities, boosting accuracy and lethality. The laser system is scheduled for completion by the end of the decade.
