Boeing has secured a $135 million (€127.7 million) Lot 3 contract from the U.S. Army for three more CH-47F Block II Chinook helicopters, announced on December 4, 2024. This follows the Army’s move to full-rate production in February 2024. Boeing is currently contracted for nine out of a planned 465 helicopters, with funding for the latest batch already approved by Congress. Earlier contracts covered long-lead parts, and the first two Block II Chinooks were delivered in June and September 2024—marking steady progress in upgrading the Army’s heavy-lift fleet.
