BAE Systems Hägglunds and Iveco Defence Vehicles have formalized a strategic agreement to promote the BvS10 all-terrain armored vehicle for potential adoption by the Italian Armed Forces. Under a newly signed memorandum of understanding, the two defense companies will work together to tailor and offer the platform specifically to meet Italy’s military operational needs.
A central focus of the partnership will be to localize the design and production processes within Italy, creating opportunities for domestic industrial involvement and technology transfer. The companies aim to utilize their shared experience from previous defense collaborations to ensure successful customization and implementation. Currently, the BvS10 is already deployed by several NATO and partner nations, including Sweden, the UK, and the US, highlighting its proven versatility and reliability.
