The Eurofighter Typhoon consortium has granted BAE Systems a £133 million ($168 million) contract to further develop its Striker II Helmet-Mounted Display (HMD). This funding will support the next phase of development, with the goal of bringing the all-digital helmet to production readiness. The contract also includes provisions for flight testing. The Striker II is designed to ensure that Typhoon pilots operate a world-class aircraft while equipped with a cutting-edge helmet system.
