Turkey has launched the construction of three domestically built naval vessels—a MILDEN-class submarine, the MUGEM aircraft carrier, and a TF-2000 destroyer—for its Navy. The milestone was marked by a symbolic first weld for the submarine at Gölcük Shipyard, while the initial sheet metal cutting for the carrier and destroyer was carried out at Istanbul Shipyard.
