Diehl Defence revealed it has signed a support contract with the Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) to boost the operational use and performance of IRIS-T short-range air-to-air missiles on RTAF fighters.
This agreement builds on the long-standing successful relationship between Diehl Defence and the RTAF over IRIS-T missile deployment.
For Diehl Defence, the contract is a further milestone in expanding collaboration with the RTAF and extending IRIS-T usage to additional platforms.
The IRIS-T, a fifth-generation air-to-air missile, is already integrated on Eurofighter Typhoon, Gripen, F-16, EF-18, F-5, and Tornado aircraft.
Integration with the KAI KF-21 fighter jet is currently in progress.
