
The European Defence Agency (EDA) has finalized the first stage of the Advanced Solutions for Camouflage of Land Systems (ASCALS) program, designed to develop intelligent and adaptive camouflage for military applications. With a €1.3-million ($1.42-million) budget over nearly two years, this phase concentrated on engineering materials that can dynamically adjust to their surroundings to counter advanced surveillance systems, including visual, radar, and thermal sensors.
