At the Mostra BID defense fair in Brasília on December 3, 2024, Embraer and the Brazilian Air Force signed an agreement to jointly explore upgrades to the C-390 Millennium aircraft. The focus will be on developing a new ISR-capable maritime patrol variant, the C-390 IVR, which is expected to include anti-ship missile capabilities. Embraer released a CGI rendering illustrating the envisioned enhancements.
