The French defense procurement agency (DGA) has formalized a seven-year framework agreement with KNDS France and Safran Electronics & Defense to advance research into robotic ground systems. Under the DROIDE program, set to span from 2030 to 2035, the focus will be on enhancing the operational use of remotely controlled platforms and extending their roles across a wider range of missions—particularly within the challenging terrain and operational demands of land-based environments.
