Greece’s Government Council for Foreign and Defense Affairs has approved the purchase of Switchblade kamikaze drones for its army. The acquisition includes approximately 590 Switchblade 300 and Switchblade 600 loitering munitions from U.S.-based drone manufacturer AeroVironment, intended for use by the Hellenic Army and special operations forces. The total cost of the procurement is estimated at 75.2 million euros ($78.8 million).
