Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has taken a strategic step to improve the survivability and effectiveness of its Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) by issuing an RFP for the co-development of an advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) Suite. Led by HAL’s Strategic Electronics Research & Design Centre (SLRDC) in Hyderabad, the initiative aims to bolster India’s indigenous defense capabilities. The LCH, designed for high-altitude and multi-role combat, is equipped with a range of weapon systems. The addition of a modern EW suite is critical to meeting the demands of evolving battlefield threats and ensuring mission success.
