US shipbuilder Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) has revealed ROMULUS, a next-generation unmanned surface vessel (USV) family that leverages the Odyssey Autonomous Control System.

At the center of the lineup is the ROMULUS 190, a 190-foot (58-meter) vessel now under construction with Breaux Brothers, Beier Integrated Systems, and Incat Crowther.

Designed with a commercial-standard hull for scalable production, the ship is expected to exceed 25 knots (46 km/29 mph), travel beyond 2,500 nautical miles (4,630 km), and host four 40-foot (12-meter) ISO containers.
