India is introducing a new ally for the battlefield—a tough, indigenous robotic system designed to handle the most dangerous missions soldiers typically avoid.

The SapperScout Ver 2.0 is a fully autonomous unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) built to perform a range of frontline operations while minimizing risks to troops.

Weighing about 380 kilograms (838 pounds), it features advanced sensors, ultrasonic detection systems, and AI-enabled controls to navigate obstacles and move along predefined paths.
