Tata Advanced Systems has presented the Advanced Armored Platform – Tracked (AAP-Tr), its design for India’s next-generation infantry fighting vehicle after months of construction.
Engineered around a V-hull, the AAP-Tr improves blast protection against mines and IEDs; the external frame reportedly endures explosions equivalent to 15 kg of TNT. Troop protection is enhanced further by ceramic-composite paneling inside, offering resistance to armor-piercing rounds and rockets without hindering mobility.
