As tensions with China continue to rise, Taiwan’s Navy has placed an order for domestically manufactured kamikaze drones to strengthen its aerial offensive operations. Developed by the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST), the drones—referred to as Loitering Munition 1—are in the final stages of certification. Armed with powerful explosive warheads, they are intended to target enemy forces, armored equipment, and critical infrastructure.
