The Swiss Armed Forces have contracted Lewis Machine & Tool (LMT) Defense to provide Sturmgewehr 25 assault rifles. Adapted from LMT’s MARS-L (Modular Ambidextrous Rifle System – Light), the 5.56×45mm rifles utilize a gas piston operating system and will be delivered in 12-inch and 16-inch barrel variants, as reported by a German news agency.
