The Israeli government has approved the procurement of next-generation corvettes and “hundreds” of Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs) to strengthen its armed forces. According to the Ministry of Defense, the Israeli Navy is set to receive five advanced Reshef-class missile corvettes, which will replace the older Sa’ar 4.5-class vessels. These new ships will be used for a variety of maritime missions, including combat operations and patrol duties. Additionally, Israel will acquire an undisclosed number of U.S.-manufactured JLTVs to equip its maneuvering units, supporting operations such as combat missions, troop transport, and search and rescue efforts.
