Latvia has awarded a contract to Finnish company Patria for the production and delivery of 56 additional armored personnel carriers (APCs), valued at over 60 million euros ($63.3 million). These vehicles will serve as command and control units for the Latvian military, with deliveries scheduled from this year through 2029. This order is in addition to the 200 6×6 APCs already being delivered under the Common Armoured Vehicle System program—a collaborative effort between Finland, Germany, Latvia, and Sweden. The vehicles are being manufactured in Latvia under a separate 200-million-euro ($210 million) agreement signed in 2021.
