The Latvian Ministry of Defence has finalized an agreement to procure Spike anti-tank missile systems for use by the military and national guard.
The 81-million-euro ($92.6 million) deal comprises an unspecified number of launchers, munitions, and related equipment.
Latvian industries will contribute to 30 percent of the work, supporting national economic development plans.
German firm EuroSpike — a joint venture of Rheinmetall, Diehl, and Rafael — will manage the system deliveries.
Initial shipments to Latvia are expected to begin in 2028.
