The Lithuanian Defence Materiel Agency, part of the Ministry of National Defence, has signed a EUR 950 million contract with Germany’s BAAINBw to purchase 44 Leopard 2A8 main battle tanks from KNDS Deutschland. The agreement includes not only the tanks but also a robust package of spare parts and logistical support services.
