MATARIS: Rapidly Fielded French Remotely Operated Munition Family
KNDS, together with partners DELAIR and EOS TECHNOLOGIE, has introduced the MATARIS family of remotely operated munitions, developed in record time to fill an urgent French military need. The range includes:
MT-10: Rotary-wing, 10 km range
MX-10 DAMOCLES: Quadcopter-wing, 10 km range
MV-25 OSKAR: Fixed-wing, 25 km range
MV-100 VELOCE 330: Fixed-wing, 100 km range
The MX-10 DAMOCLES will enter French Army service in July 2025, having been designed and qualified within 12 months under the LMS Short-range program. Built by DELAIR with a KNDS Ammo France warhead, the system can defeat infantry and light armored vehicles.
The MV-25 OSKAR progressed swiftly from concept to deployment in Ukraine within two years, selected through the French COLIBRI innovation program. Its operational success has reinforced the role of KNDS and DELAIR in this growing munitions category.
For extended ranges, KNDS partnered with EOS TECHNOLOGIE to develop the MV-100 VELOCE 330, capable of 400+ km/h speeds and 100 km strike distance. It uses a 2.5 kg anti-armor warhead based on proven BONUS technology, with operational tests expected by year-end 2025.
Offering secure handling and easy operation, the MATARIS suite gives French forces a cutting-edge, modular solution for remotely operated strikes, with KNDS, DELAIR, and EOS TECHNOLOGIE leading the way in national and European markets.
