The Defense Acquisition and Program Administration (DAPA) of South Korea has approved a program to develop an enhanced variant of the long-range surface-to-air missile (L-SAM). Funding totaling 567.7 billion South Korean won ($388 million) has been designated for the development phase, scheduled to continue until 2028. The state-operated Agency for Defense Development will oversee the project in collaboration with 19 other firms.
