The Norwegian government has finalized a deal with the United States to acquire M1156A1 Precision Guidance Kits to upgrade its 155 mm self-propelled artillery systems. Although the agreement’s full scope was not revealed, the US approved a December request from Oslo for 8,001 units worth an estimated $130 million. This purchase forms part of Norway’s broader efforts to strengthen its artillery forces through advanced, precision-guided munitions.
