Pelican has unveiled a new series of protective cases designed for the U.S. Army’s Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) program, supporting the service’s next wave of small arms modernization.
Developed for the SIG Sauer M7 rifle with XM157 Vortex optic and the M250 light machine gun, the cases safeguard weapons built to replace the legacy M4 and M249 systems—offering greater range, lethality, and digital integration.
Each custom-engineered Pelican case features a rifle frame system that secures weapons during transport and storage, alongside custom foam compartments for magazines and maintenance kits. Soldier feedback shaped the design, resulting in stackable frames, ergonomic grips, and quick-release latches for efficient field use.
The modular frame architecture also allows for adaptation to other rifle types as the Army scales the NGSW platform across units.
