MSA Safety has been awarded a $33 million contract to provide advanced respiratory protection equipment to the US Coast Guard. The agreement includes the delivery of the company’s proprietary G1 Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) systems for use across the Coast Guard’s operational surface fleet and support facilities. According to MSA, an initial $22 million order was placed in the third quarter of this year to begin manufacturing the equipment.
