
The Pentagon and Lockheed Martin have reached a preliminary agreement for the production of two additional batches of F-35 Joint Strike Fighters. According to a joint statement from Lockheed and the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO), the agreement covers production lots 18 and 19 of the stealth aircraft. Both parties noted that negotiations are ongoing to finalize the contract’s details, including the number of jets and overall cost, which will be announced once the agreement is officially signed.
