Pit-Radwar, a Polish state defense firm, has revealed its new SA-35MM air defense system, which uses a 35mm cannon and programmable airburst munitions. The advanced projectiles are inductively set to detonate at precise moments for maximum impact, minimizing the amount of ammunition required to neutralize threats such as drones. For example, only seven airburst rounds are needed to achieve a 97% hit rate on a drone, compared to 24 conventional rounds for a 99% strike rate.
