The Portuguese Ministry of National Defense has signed a contract with Embraer to purchase 12 A-29N Super Tucano aircraft, making Portugal the launch customer of this new variant of the advanced trainer and light attack platform. This acquisition underscores Portugal’s commitment to modernizing its Air Force with a versatile and battle-proven aircraft, well-suited for Advanced Pilot Training, Light Attack, Close Air Support (CAS), and Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions.
