RTX-owned Pratt & Whitney has been awarded a $1.5 billion agreement to provide sustainment services for the F119 engines powering the US Air Force’s fleet of F-22 Raptor stealth jets. Spanning three years, the contract aims to improve engine performance and affordability across more than 400 units, which together have accumulated upwards of 900,000 flight hours.
