Rafael Advanced Defense Systems has introduced the Iron Beam 450, a new variant of its high-energy laser weapon system featuring a powerful 450-millimeter beam director.
This larger aperture represents a major upgrade over the earlier 250mm model, boosting the system’s ability to detect, track, and neutralize airborne threats from longer distances with improved precision.
The expanded beam size also enhances stability and targeting effectiveness, enabling the laser to remain concentrated over extended distances, even in harsh environmental conditions like dust, wind, or heat distortion.
